Dr. Alexander Simidchiev has three medical specialties, but he is most passionate about pulmonology. He is the Head of the Department of Non-Invasive Diagnosis at the Ministry of the Interior's Medical Institute, as well as part of the Pulmonology Department and the Laboratory for Functional Respiratory Testing of UB Lozenets, a member of the Bulgarian Society of Pulmonary Diseases and the European Respiratory Society, as well as a former chief respirator GlaxoSmithKline Canada. He has specialized in the Rouland Clinic in Essen, Germany and the Charite Hospital in Paris, France.

He is also the creator of the unique for the country web-based course in Digital Medicine, which he has been leading at Plovdiv Medical University for 3 years.
