
Dr. Ana Tsakova is a doctor, managing director of Merk Bulgaria. She graduated in medicine and then obtained a master's degree in business management from the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University. In 2000, she started working in the pharmaceutical industry and for 20 years established his professional career, working for global leaders in the sector. In 2011, she joined the Merck team in Bulgaria, and three years ago took over the management of the company as managing director. She is also a member of the Board of ARPharM - the Association of Research Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Bulgaria.
Dr. Tsakova is proud of her career development from the lowest level, starting at the level of a medical representative, going through various leadership roles to reach her current position. Believes in situational leadership, especially in a dynamic environment like today. It is important for her to work at a family company with over 350 years of history, because she believes that values and people come first, and innovations are the drivers of progress. She sees the role of the pharmaceutical industry as a driver in the development and implementation of innovations that lead to improved quality of treatment and overall improvement and prolongation of human life.
