Svetla Nestorova started her professional career in the insurance industry in 2002.

During the course of the years she has been active supporter of raising the awareness of the society on the importance of the insurance protection. She has also supported various activities focused on the sustainable development of the Bulgarian insurance industry in the framework of the common EU market.

Svetla Nestorova joined the team of BULSTRAD LIFE as “Sales and Marketing” Director in 2004. In 2005 she was appointed as Member of the Board of BULSTRAD LIFE and in 2006 – as Executive Director and Chairperson of the Managing Board. Since 2016 Svetla Nestorova is a CEO and Chairperson of the Managing Board of BULSTRAD LIFE VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP. She is also a Member of the Managing Board of BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP.

In 2011 Svetla Nestorova was elected as a Member of the Board of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers and Chairperson of the Life-insurance Committee to the Association. From 2015 to June 2019 she was Chairperson of the Board of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers. After the term of her second mandate as a Chairperson, she was elected again as Member of the Board of the Association. She is sitting also on the Board of “Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriiski” Foundation. Since 2018 she is a Member of the Strategic Board of Insurance Europe.
